The Mission of
The Welcome Project PA

The Welcome Project PA strives to be a diverse, safe place for marginalized and vulnerable populations and seeks to bring about positive social change to improve the quality of life for these individuals and families in Greater Philadelphia.

Here at The Welcome Project PA, we provide educational resources, support groups, social activities and events, legal services, advocacy, food and nutrition services, interfaith learning and cooperation, and LGBT+ friendly, trauma-informed therapy, healing, and counseling. We serve newcomers to the US, Spanish-speaking communities, refugees, vulnerable faith communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and people living in poverty who lack the basic necessities.

WPPA se esfuerza por ser un lugar diverso y seguro para las poblaciones marginadas y vulnerables y busca generar un cambio social positivo para mejorar la calidad de vida de familias e individuos en el Área Metropolitana de Filadelfia.

En WPPA, brindamos recursos educativos, grupos de apoyo, eventos sociales, servicios legales, abogacía, servicios de alimentos y nutrición, aprendizaje y cooperación interreligiosos, terapia psicológica, y asesoramiento para la comunidad LGBT+. Atendemos a recién llegados a los EE. UU., comunidades de habla hispana, refugiados, comunidades religiosas vulnerables, comunidades LGBTQ+ y personas que viven en pobreza y carecen de las necesidades básicas.

Big Picture Alliance and The Welcome Project PA / SAGA have partnered to bring you this documentary film, chronicling the development of Trans, Nonbinary, and Intersex Healthcare Best Practices, a training program that is helping to change the landscape of healthcare in the Philadelphia suburbs. Join us for this exciting premiere, along with live music, beverages, and refreshments!

We’re excited to welcome Congresswoman Madeleine Dean, Big Picture Alliance, Independence Public Media Foundation, Healtspark, and participants in the film for sharing and Q&A with the audience. Featuring live music by Jakeya Limitless.
