Our Therapy Fund

Our mission is to make affirming therapy affordable for everyone who needs it.

We offer affordable, sliding scale therapy services. The average rate clients pay for sessions in our therapy program is $75. About 60% of that amount goes directly to the therapist as a modest living wage. The next 20% or so covers  building costs and utilities for our therapy space, as well as clinical supervision for our team. The remaining 20% is split between administrative costs, website fees, software, taxes, office supplies, education and training, professional fees, and credit card processing charges.

While the fees we charge are just enough to keep us running,
they are often far beyond what our clients can afford.

This is where you come in.

You can give the gift of mental wellness.

Every $75 we raise is one more hour of pro bono therapy for an LGBTQIA+ person living below the poverty line. Each $10 or $20 we raise can help us provide a subsidized session for someone who can contribute something toward a session, but not the full rate.

Each hour of therapy provided by you is one step closer to wellness, stability, and self-actualization for a vulnerable community member. When you support our work with a donation, you’re making an immediate difference in the lives of our clients. Every hour of therapy can help to turn someone’s life around.

All donations to The Welcome Project PA Therapy Program are tax-deductible, and go directly to our client’s mental health care costs, helping them get the help they urgently need.
Please consider donating to our Therapy Fund to help us continue offering low-cost
services for marginalized communities!

What We Stand For

Our approach is to meet each client where they are, both financially and personally. We have done our best to create a welcoming and accessible environment for all to have access to therapy. We utilize grant programs to supplement the costs of pro-bono and low-cost therapy.

Our mental health program is connected to our other nonprofit programs so that our clients can gain further support and connections. We lean into intersectional identities and embrace a wide spectrum of human expression, sexuality, perspectives, lived experiences, etc.

As a nonprofit, mental health program is part of our mission. It is not just therapy as part of a business model, but it is how we live out our mission and help community members develop more resiliency and find healing.

Insurance and Fees

We do not accept insurance, but offer a fee tier based on financial need ranging from $20 – $180, with some pro-bono slots available.

Levi Bentley, MA

Prelicensed Therapist

(they/them/theirs)

Choosing therapy is a bold step towards positive change. My goal as a therapist is to work with you towards your relational and personal goals and provide empathetic connection, structure and support for staying present with difficult emotions that can arise on the journey towards healing and self-realization.

My name is Levi (they/them), I am a person-centered therapist, working from a trauma-informed lens. I believe that you make sense and that you are the expert on your own experience. I enjoy working with trans and LGBTQ clients, those who experience class oppression, as well others who experience cultural oppressions. I am poly-, kink-, and body- positive. I have a special interest in supporting clients struggling with trauma, loneliness, intimacy, major life changes, and transitional times.

Past traumas can sometimes show up in daily life as patterns of ambivalence, intense emotion, limiting beliefs, and coping strategies. If you are struggling with intense emotional responses, we can get to know your triggers, and provide care for past wounds while acknowledging cultural factors and systems. I work from a relational, social justice framework. I am interested in IFS, EMDR and Somatic Experiencing modalities, and am pursuing education and training in these areas.
